What does a kumquat taste like? Let’s join the little SRIGHTers from the Baby class as they experience an explosion of flavor in this fun lesson.
It was a truly joyful session with the Multi-Sensory activity: “Tasting Kumquats,” which brought a wave of excitement to the little ones in the Baby class. The whole class got to know a familiar fruit that also brought quite a few surprises in terms of its scent and taste!
First, the children got to look at the round, plump, green kumquats. Then, they got to touch the smooth skin of the fruit. And just like that, the faint and distinctive scent of the kumquats strongly stimulated the children’s sense of smell.
The most anticipated moment was when the children tasted the characteristic sourness of the kumquat. Some scrunched up their faces and wrinkled their noses at the unexpected sour flavor. Others smiled with their eyes, completely delighted with the new taste. Every expression from the children was incredibly genuine and adorable!
