Lemon Float or Sink: A Fun Scientific Discovery by Our SRighters!
Our little learners in the Home class had a blast with our experiment on “Lemon Float or Sink”. They got to conduct a hands-on experiment: dropping a lemon in water and observing the magic! Why does a lemon float on water, and why does a peeled lemon sink?
Well, it turns out that the lemon peel is the secret to this amazing phenomenon! The peel acts like a life jacket, filled with air that makes the lemon lighter and able to float. When we peel the lemon, it sinks because most of the air inside is gone. Our little scientists were so excited, their eyes lit up with curiosity and surprise as they watched this fascinating experiment.
