Montessori encompasses 5 practical areas, equipping children with comprehensive knowledge and skills for both the 0-3 and 3-6 age groups:
Practical Life Area: Fosters self-service skills, organization, and independence through activities like carrying chairs, closing doors, brushing teeth correctly, cleaning windows, caring for plants, hanging clothes, squeezing oranges, reading a clock, and more.
Sensory Area: Develops multiple senses, including fine motor skills (bead frames, peg boards, geometric puzzles, ball rolling boxes, etc.), visual perception (color boards, knobbed cylinders, red rods, brown stairs), tactile senses (rough textured cards, fabric texture discrimination, mystery bags), auditory senses (sound boxes), and taste (taste tubes). With nearly 100 diverse activities, this area optimizes the development of the left brain’s five senses during the golden 0-6 age.
Mathematics Area: Introduces fundamental mathematical concepts like quantity and number (colored bead chains, even & odd numbers, sandpaper numbers, golden bead snake game, colored snake game, decimal symbols with trays, number cards, multiplication & division boards, Seguin boards), 2D & 3D geometry (colored geometric solids, geometric cabinet, shape creation from triangles).
Language Area: Cultivates language skills, reading, writing, and effective communication (sand tray, writing practice frames, sandpaper letters).
Science and Geography Area: Introduces children to the world around them and geography through various cultures with activities like national flags, landforms, rivers-lakes-bays-peninsulas, continental maps, and the world globe.
